Tic Toc is a time/date display desk accessory (DA) for the Macintosh. It alternates between the current time and the current date about every five seconds. Tic Toc is small enough to fit in the corner of your screen for the rest of the day to remind you of the date and time at a glance.
It displays the time using the system time format, which can be set in the Control Panel DA (either AM/PM or 24 hr. military). Both the date and time are displayed using the appropriate format for the country your Mac is configured, using the international utility resources.
If you don't want the display to alternate between the date and time, Option- clicking inside the Tic Toc window will lock the current display to either the current time or date. Option-clicking again inside the window will unlock the display and the alternating will begin again. Tic Toc will emit a short beep to acknowledge that the display has been locked or unlocked.
Simply clicking inside the Tic Toc window will display the "About" information. Clicking within the About window will close it.
